Essent is a Dutch energy company and a subsidiary of E.ON. It is the largest energy company in The Netherlands, with a presence in Belgium as well. They deliver electricity to 2,3 million customers and natural gas to 2 million clients. Essent (including its predecessors) has over 90 years of experience with generating, trading, transmitting and supplying electricity.
The Solution
Essent has been a long-time client of Energy One’s Belgian and French subsidiaries. They use Energy One’s innovative Software-as-a-Service to automate exchange activities, handle nominations, and intra-day trading activities on several gas and power grids. On top of that our global 24/7 operations team takes care of out-of-hours trading, nominations and balancing in close collaboration with Essent’s in-house operations team.
