Staff at Solihull-based business, Energy One, are proud to announce they are providing fundraising support to local charity, Age UK Solihull.
The global software and services provider, which has its UK office at Radcliffe House in the town centre, recently hosted a charity tea party for staff and representatives from Age UK Solihull, to celebrate its partnership with the local cause.
Age UK Solihull provides advice, companionship and practical support for over 16,000 Solihull residents each year.
Team members at Energy One will be taking part a series of activities, from staff contests and sporting challenges to donations and collections, to help boost awareness and raise valuable funds for the charity.
Energy One UK CEO Sunny Tiwana and Energy One Europe CEO Simon Wheeler were joined by Age UK Solihull’s Fundraising Officer Lorraine Curran and Digital Marketing and Fundraising Manager Rebecca Jacob at the tea party (pictured). In exchange for a donation to the charity, staff were able to tuck in to sweet treats while learning about the work Age UK Solihull does for older residents in the borough.
Sunny Tiwana comments: “We are very proud to be supporting Age UK Solihull. We admire the work that the charity does for its clients in the local area and have several members of staff who independently volunteer and support the cause. As a team, we’re delighted to be coming together to enhance the level of support we can provide to Age UK Solihull, which will help to heighten awareness of the charity locally.”
Rebecca Jacob, Digital Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull adds: “We’re so pleased that Energy One has chosen to support us; we’re very grateful for their help. We couldn’t provide the services that we do without the assistance of local businesses, community groups and individuals. We are looking forward to working with Energy One and encouraging them in their efforts.”
Age UK Solihull is a local charity, where all funds raised stay in Solihull to help older and vulnerable people in the borough. The charity was founded in 1983, so is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023.
